What is the College Panhellenic Council

The College Panhellenic Council (CPC) serves as the governing body for the 5 panhellenic sororities at RIT. All five sororities are members of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). RIT’s College Panhellenic Council preserves the high standards of National Panhellenic Conference sororities and women’s fraternities. The Panhellenic Council develops and maintains sorority life and inter-sorority relations at a high level of accomplishment. This group is in charge of streamlining communications from each chapter to another, voting on bylaws, evaluating the health and morale of the community, and running formal recruitment every fall.

Mission & Purpose

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) was established in 1902 to assist collegiate and alumnae chapters of the NPC member organizations in cooperating with colleges and universities and to foster inter-fraternal relationships.

The National Panhellenic Conference is the premier advocacy and support organization for the advancement of the sorority experience.

Vision & Values

National Panhellenic Conference – Advancing the Sorority Experience Together.

We are committed to relationships built on trust through transparency, accountability and mutual respect. Innovation and our core values of friendship, leadership, service, knowledge, integrity and community guide us in fulfilling our mission.

National Panhellenic Creed

We, as Undergraduate members of women's fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.

We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.
